NEOFLY is developing an innovative raw material production model for animal feed (livestock, aquaculture, pets) and fertilization. These raw materials will be produced at scale through insect bioconversion of agro-industrial and agricultural organic waste, as part of a circular economy model. They will replace the conventional raw materials currently imported, whose environmental and economic costs are a major barrier to the performance of New Caledonia’s agri-food and aquaculture sectors.
Our ambition is to address, at an industrial and impactful scale, the key challenges facing these sectors: reducing imports, diversifying and boosting local production, improving the sustainability and carbon footprint of our primary production chains, valuing waste through the circular economy, and driving innovative solutions for sustainable food self-sufficiency in an island context.
